p8p67 deluxe crackling sound

Thread Starter
I have the p8p67 deluxe and everything is running great, minus the sound. I have all the latest drivers, etc. I think it could be because I have my optical drive plugged into my 6.0gbs sata port? I'll try a 3.0 port and see what happens. If that doesn't work what should I do?

I'm having the same problem. Random crackling sounds once in a while randomly with no apparent cause. I don't see WHY plugging the CD drive into a 6 gig not a 3 gig port would change audio problems. Did that REALLY fix it? I'd love to know! Thanks!
