The fan on your 212+ is also on the wrong side. You want the fan pushing through the cooler towards your rear case fan.

These are for the front panel audio. Use the HD Audio (the other one is an old connector) and plug it in the Bottom left corner. You should have a connection like the one for the front panel connectors. Not sure about the location though but I have a MSI board and that's where it is.

iirc, there should be a port for the onboard audio on your mobo, and you need to plug in only the HD_AUDIO. Someone around here said that AC97 is obsolete; you can just leave it hanging around or cut it out (I think).

Again, the manual is your best friend

The HD_AUDIO should go all the way in, providing that you align it with the port in its proper position. These pins are designed to fit w/o forcing them in too hard.

I guess it's the flaw in the board's design then. As long as you put your graphics card in PCIe slot, it will work. On my board, sata connectors are parallel to the board, and not perpendicular to it like yours.

A quick fix is to insert your sata cables first then your graphic card. Or you could use the other PCIe port for the card (as long as it won't push against your cpu heatsink). A more permanent solution would be to buy right angle sata cable.

ye, i gave it a little force and they went in.
Moved graphics card to other PCIe slot so i have access to all 6 sata connectors now.

Im a little worried about static though as i had no protection, i did touch the case each time before i handled parts though.

Also dropped screwdriver on the mobo, what an idiot lol

Don't worry about the static, that almost never happens.

...and as long as the screwdriver didn't knock anything off you're fine.

Protip: Don't put the video card power cables in the 8 pin CPU power. The CPU power will be seperate as video card power cables will likely come out of the PSU right next to each other.

Take a picture of the motherboard top down so we can see EVERYTHING when you're finished.
