Why does it say in the details that you can place the silver coil in the tubing or the res? Surely that would cause conflict with the flow of the loop?

Not really. Just pop it in the res and you'd be good to go.

not really. There was a bloke here recently posting his silver koil got sucked in pump, destroying it!
I think it was XSPC?
I find using coins much more handy as they may also kill any possible vortex as well (depends of res shape).
