This.

There's only 2 side missions left for me to complete with my commando, after I'm done with one (the other one is lvl 50 so no way I can complete that) I'll start a new game with a gunzerker.

Hey guys, finally got some time to start playing. Turns out that a good friend has already been playing for a while and he is a few levels ahead of me (he is currently 28 and I am 16). We now play on my game save because he doesn't mind replaying parts. He lets me take my time with the quests and since the weapons are useless to him, I get those too, so I can't complain at all. I do have some questions though.

1) How does experience work? Will I be getting less because I am playing with him? Do I get less each time I kill the same unit? I'm curious because I always seem to get different amounts from the same boss or enemy if I beat them multiple times.

2) What will be different than just single player? Will it be harder because he is higher level, or even the fact that there is a second player? Any other differences that might be useful to know about?

3) Should I do the DLC during the game, or after beating it once?

Thanks guys, absolutely loving the game!

1.) You'll actually be getting more XP because he's at a higher level. This is how I leveled up faster, by playing with a friend whose level was 39 while I was 22. The downside is, the enemies will practically be able to one-shot you even with a shield, and your weapons will do little damage against them. It's best to stand back and spectate while he kills stuff. You'll still get the XP even if he's doing all of the work.

2.) Actually, both. Enemies get stronger with two or more people playing, plus the level disparity adds even more difficulty on top.

3. I'd recommend after beating the game, since some of the bosses in the DLC are ridiculously hard to kill.

Awesome. Thanks for clearing that all up! Still wondering on the experience gained though. I get different amounts when beating bosses sometimes. What gives? Is it based on my level, how many times I have killed it, the time it took to kill, or even how I killed it?

Also, do I get the same experience regardless of who kills the enemy? So will I get the same if my buddy kills it as I would have gotten from killing it?

Thanks!

(Also, you have by far the best name, avatar, and location that I have ever seen on any forum. Solid work man)

This I'm honestly not sure about, but someone else will probably be able to chime in with a better answer. I do know that each quest has a pre-determined amount of XP you can gain as a reward for completing it, but I'm not sure exactly how it all works. Curious to know as well.

Sounds good. I have been looking on google, but haven't found anything useful to help me understand it either.

Subbed. Been played for several days now addicted. Second playthrough now LVL 49. Few legendaries in hand. Will start DLCs after I finish the second playthrough.

Anyone have a Sand Hawk I can get from them? I already completed the Pirates Booty on my second play through and sold the gun. My steam name is criminal1996.

Thanks
