Need to find somebody to play this with as if it's anything like Blands 1 it soon gets old when you play on your own.

Maybe it's just me or gw2 questing system has spoiled me with not having to turn quests in... but having to run alll the way back to turn in a quest is bummer!

Other than that, personally I am not blown away by the game. It's alright for me. Yet I got it for free so I can't complain but it just doesn't have that epic feel as I thought I would get from it. Maybe it takes more than 4 hours in to get it? But so far I feel like I am just doing fetch and kill quests with weapons that couldn't hit broad side of a barn.

turned view distance and foliage rendering to near huge difference in fps i now get about 50 consistently with everything else maxed out and physX at medium.

i have fps turned on through the console in-game and sometimes for a while it seems like the game locks my fps at 30 even though i have vsync on and no fps cap :/ not sure if thats my pc or the game or something. either way glad everyone figured out that draw distance setting is rough on fps lol because its hardly noticeable for me tongue.gif

I got 2 pistols and was kind of disappointed so I may add a couple more.
Also I have only really been seeing 3 gun brands Jakobs, Hyperion, and Bandit occasionaly there is a Tediore thrown in there but it is rare. Is this just me or is it like that in the start and gets more variety later on.

So I played with a friend last night, and it seemed like stuff got really easy. In bl1 the sweet spot for difficulty was 2 players, after that it just got overly easy.

I seem to be locked at 30fps. I have Vsunc off and and fps uncapped. It doesn't seem to matter whether I have my setting totally maxed out, or set to the bear minimum. I rarely see anything other than 30fps. Running at 5920x1080 with PhysX set to low on a HD7950
post #348 of 3843
I dropped Physx to Medium and that improved the few areas where there was slowdown somewhat. I then popped my old GTX 460 in as a dedicated Physx card and that made a huge difference. biggrin.gif FPS are generally between 80 and 120 depending on the location and what is going on. Very, very few sub 60 dips and that seems to be consistently in the same areas so just bad optimizations in some spots I suppose.

So anyway, if you have a spare older card around (and the PSU to handle it), give it a shot and see if it helps.

Sweetemodave is my steam id if anyone wants to play between 6p-midnight central time. Haven't decided on a character yet, but leaning towards Siren.

Ill add you, I live in Texas and usually game between those time periods. Im usually on between 6-10 depending on how late I get off work and the wife. Steam ID Ta2punk. There is also a master list of OCN members who are playing this game, it has its own thread if you look through the threads under PC games.

Also im running i7 2600k @4.5Ghz, MSI 580 Lightning Extreme's in SLI 3GB VRAM, 16GB RAM at 1920x1080. I have everything on high, Filtering at x8 instead of x16 and PhysX on high. Im running a steady 60+FPS even while recording with fraps. I get around 75 when im just playing without recording.

Also to those asking about the Texture Popin stuff, thats just how their engine works. You obviously saw it with the first game and its in the second, not as bad though. The engine is designed to load textures almost like a buffering process. Not sure if its to cut down on load times or what, but its how they designed it and its supposed to be easire on the system.

Currently running a single 5850 @ 800/1200 (Bearings went on my second's fan, waiting on the new one to ship to me).
1920x1080, everything maxed except physx to low and I can easily hold 60fps with a drop to like 55ish once in a blue moon. Though setting physx to high makes the game look great, it runs between 5-30fps during action. Curious how it will do on crossfire.
