Help with p67 extreme4 mobo problem

I started to reformat today and I think the BIOS went out of wack and now it is saying that I cannot install windows 7 on my partition drive. In the bios settings it has uefi and sata as boot options but I'm pretty sure I have ahci, when I try loading the driver from the p67 disk and installing the ahci driver, it acts like nothing happened. If I were to reset the BIOS manually, would it restore everything so that I could repartition?

If you reset the bios it would clear all settings, but formatting shouldn't change any settings. Try clearing the CMOS and see what happens. There should be a header on the motherboard where you can switch a jumper, or pull the battery out for 5-10 minutes.

I just tried resetting cmos and it didn't really do anything. For some reason, I'm trying to install windows 7 and it keeps saying it cannot locate the controller for the hard drive. I went into the bios and the only boot options are for uefi and sata, but when I first installed windows I had a AHCI option. I tried loading the driver with the as rock driver CD and it located the AHCI controller and acted like it installed it but still not working.

Hmm I'm not sure how the eufi works on the asrock, but on my board I have to go to the advanced eufi menu to configure sata controllers and stuff. In the top right corner I have a thing that says exit/advanced and clicking that gives me the option to load the advanced menu. Look for something like that.
