One thing I don't understand is the version numbers? Why increase a major number every six weeks? Why not a sub number, like 4.1 or 4.2, etc.? Why copy Chrome?

I like the UI. Way better then what it is now.

Wow, that.... that actually looks really good
I like my UI squarish and not round though, round just takes up space.... but eh, maybe addons could fix that

The disappearance of the forward button seems intimidating at first, but now that I think of it... I never really use those buttons. right click -> back and forward are much faster.

I'm loving the UI in that second screenshot. Can't wait for it to reach the beta build status. I'm wary of venturing into the Aurora and Nightly channels.

Who cares what numbers they attach to it as long as they are making an improvement, would you rather 6-12month release cycles where bugs dont get fixed for that long. FF6is a nice upgrade from 5 i think they finally got it to open as fast as chrome, and with waterfox it simply the best browser there is.

Because Mozilla needs to maintain their market share, which Google is stealing with Chrome. If that means pulling some marketing strings, so be it.

By the change in UI, do you guys mean how File,Edit,View etc all merged into that big round button in the top left? and how the address bar is merged with the tabs bar?

Theres an option in Tools that lets you change it back to standard, no addons needed. I'm pretty sure since im on 5.0 and the UI hasent changed for me, I just cant remeber how I did it :L

I'm confused, is there a way to download this UI to test out?

I saved the UX channel build but not sure on how to get it to work...
