l_o_l cake?

Either I'm blind or you need glasses. And i think option a) is infeasible.

Nowhere ITT, has OP mentioned laptop. Nowhere at all. All he's asking for is if he should drop the money on a 590, or stick with the 580 to put in his modded case.

Now let's see... He mentions this is going to be using his machine on a single monitor. And let's see..... Oh.... a surprising 17.3" monitor shown in his sig specs.

I cazn't put one and one together?

Anyways... still surprised people are still mentioning/recommending the 590's. OCN, i am very disapoint.

lulz.. Yea the 17 inch monitor in my sig is my laptop. Thats why the gpu in my sig says 560m. I'll be running the res of 1920x1080. Thats the max res of this 120hz 3d monitor that am gonna be picking up.

Am not one to say i wouldnt spend the cash on it because about to but damn i get this feeling in my gut when i think of blowing that much money..
I'm not bothered by the price really. I had some money to blow and I figured that a 590 would be nice. Couldn't figure out anything better to spend 700€ on

And I have my older gen i7 because I'm waiting for the i7 3930K.

But yeah, the 590 will be a good choice for 1080p. Maybe a bit overkill but then again there are some games where even a 580 can't hold that 60fps all the time. And the 590 is quieter too so that's nice. Iäm sure you'll enjoy it if you decide to go for it.
