Thread Starter
I am looking for a watercooler for a gtx 470 but it has to be less then 65 bucks. Also i want the water block to give me better cooling then the air cooler on this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125351

So far i found this http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...oducts_id=2110 I am going to be buy this kit XSPC Rasa 750 RX360 WaterCooling Kit Also what would i need to be able to use that water block for the 470?

Thanks

Is there a, full cover in your price range?
I can think of,a universal block or two that's under sixty-five, but the heatsinks will bring it over.

Please stop bumping your own post, we don't work here, we are just here to help out so don't bump unless its been 24 hours, thanks

If you're trying to water-cool a 470 it needs to be a reference design GPU, or you have to find a specific water block that will work with your non reference design GPU (i.e. big $$) either way, trying to go cheap isn't the way to go if you're trying to do water cooling.

Try looking in the For Sale: Cooling section, many people put up different water blocks, kits, etc.

With any water block, if you get a full coverage block then you're going to need tubing, radiator, pump, fans, reservoir . If you don't get a full coverage block you're going to need heat-sinks for all the rest of your components on the GPU.

Be prepared to spend $350+ for a decent setup

If you're already spending the money on the XSPC kit then just save up your money a little longer and get a full cover block. Or the swiftech mcw80 universal block with the ram heatsink. Buying something just because it's cheaper isn't a good reason to get that it. You don't want to sacrifice quality for price, especially when water cooling.

cheaping out on water cooling will not get you any better results than air cooling, if not worse results... Water cooling is rather expensive, if you aren't able to pay the price for a legitimate water cooling setup; my suggestion would be to not go down the water cooling route.
