Connection options?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, im looking for some help with alternatives to hardwired Ethernet connections. School is coming up and I need to have the fastest speed I can. I live in missouri, in the middle of nowhere. The only "highspeed" internet provider is century link and the fastest option is 1.5mbps download and .5mbps upload. We just finished our basement so running the ethernet up through the walls is no longer an option. Ive been using a usb wireless adapter but the drop outs and slow connection compared to hardwiring wont cut it for school work. Ive been looking at the powerline ethernet adapters and was wondering if anyone has any experience with these? Also any other recommendations for the connection would be awesome. Thanks guys.
