Prospective Build buying in two days- any foreseeable problems?

Hey all, not sure where this would fall but seems like the best place. Below is the list of parts I am putting together for my computer and from what I can tell everything is compatible. Anybody see red flags? I plan on trying to overclock reasonably and then when I get more money dropping another 8gb ram and another 560 in.

Everythign is fine as far as I can see i'd swap the psu myself (finding a link atm)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139021 COrsair tx2 750w (not modular though)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817256059 Silverstone strider plus 750w (fully modular)
The units do cost more but they do have a higher build quality then the ocz.

Just get faster RAM Wow does that radiation symbol on the Mushkins look cool or what?

I think there are better cases even at that price point in terms of cable management, like the NZXT M59 or the Rosewill Challenger

This ram would be much better. $60 with free 4GB USB Stick
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231428

Thats a slow HDD, not for OS install.
WD 1TB Black
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136284

Zalman Z9 cheaper and better interior.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...pk=Zalman%20Z9

rather get the 560TI instead.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121424

Corsair PSU, instead of the OCZ
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139021

Also are you planning to OC your CPU, might want to get a aftermarket cooler. Like the Coolermaster 212+

[QUOTE=jagz;14501625]Just get faster RAM Wow does that radiation symbol on the Mushkins look cool or what?

From my research it seemed overclocking could handle the lower speed issues however, Ocing sounds like it has issues when you try to drop latency? That is why I stuck with the lowest latency ram I could find in that price range

The GTX 560 is basically a nearly rebranded GTX 460 1GB. The GTX 460 is cheaper.
Other than that, build is fine.

If you can afford to wait, the FX series CPUs with 4 to 8 cores will be coming out soon. You may want to grab a smaller placeholder such as a Phenom II x4 925 or 955 in the meanwhile.

1600MHz ram:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231278

Alot of people recommend the Spinpoint F3 1TB Harddrive over the barracuda or blacks, but I guess a hard drive is a hard drive. That's up to you.

I would actually prefer a 6870 over the 560, but again, your preference.

Rig ordered today !!! Ended up going with everything listed except I swapped the Ram and HD.

Grabbed http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220484. Faster ram in the 1600hz sweet spot (Thanks XD, read your other page on how that is sweet spot with AMD). Went with the Patriot because the $30 rebate drops it into a nice place and figure as a new overclocker if I burn out the RAM rather learn on a cheaper set.

Ended up going with the Spinpoint HD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152185 . Thanks for the advice on that, saw the 6gb transfer which looked good on superficial research and the extra .5 gb but more detailed research pointed out that the 6gb transfer is near impossible to reach let alone 3gb. Not to mention the drive was cheaper.

Again XD thanks for pointing out about the GPU but at the time I ordered and after promo and rebate figure for the extra 20-30 bucks would take the increase...

Missed seeing the rebate on this one or may have gone with that saving the $50 O well. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130597

Also stuck with the Nvidia because I am still contemplating getting a 120hz tv and the 3d vision

Really excited about the rig, hopefully it all pulls together nicely when it gets here in next couple days. Thanks for all the help

Nice rig dude, Just be sure when you get a aftermarket heatsink it can work with that high-profile ram. Good choice on the spinpoint, did you get that Asus 560? Also I really really hope you did not get that case. If there is a double back side you can do some drilling though and make it nice. Case looks great just it's cable management is concerning. (And it's overpriced)

I did go with the Asus 560 and the Armor Case. The case wasn't to bad because it had a $5 promo code and a $30 Mir so actually cheapest of the ones I was looking at.
