Go get your contract, I can email our rep and get more information on that if you would like. But I use roughly 20GB a month on my iPhone 4 and I've never had a throttled speed.

No, I am not on an Employee Plan. I share a plan with my parents and my brother. My step dad also tethers a lot and has never been throttled.

It's MAINLY for Air Cards.
20Gb, that's nothin, i used 45-50 gb last month only thing is that ill go through times where my ping is so high facebook wont even load (all this while having perfect 5 bars of 3g on a Droid R2D2) can't bring it to Verizon and ask because I am updated to Ginger Bread and running Liberty 0.8 GB on it... i know it is usually for air cards but if you try hard enough, it can hit smart phones too

(It's a feature so that they won't have an un-godly huge phone bill with extra charges.)

They usually don't even throttle the data speeds in general, it's only if that person is on a Tiered data plan and exceeds their monthly limit every month.

So really since you have unlimited data, your doing this for no apparent reason (Unless you just really love watching Netflix..) haha.

<-- Been a Verizon Rep going on 2 years in November.

EDIT - And when I say they can't, they really cannot throttle your speeds. Especially if it's coming from a cell phone, that only applies to Air Cards.
Well I do like watching netflix. That is a fact . But I would also like to think that by me(and everyone else) using more data it will wake Verizon up to the fact that a tiered data scheme is just not plausible for todays needs. Or it could just make the problem worse, I dont know. But I guess it will probably have to get worse before it gets better. Anyways, I am just glad that I have an unlimited plan and hope that the option to upgrade does not get taken away at any point in the future.

I'm aware you can't, And this is the instance of me hearing about someone being throttled a cell phone.

And you can take to Verizon, they just can't do an insurance claim or help you update it since it's rooted. You can SBF back to stock and do that, but I get what your saying. I'll look more into it tomorrow and give you more information on it if you'd like

And glad to see your running liberty! Justin (Kejar) is a good friend of mine and I helped with a little of the Dev work and testing for Liberty.

So if you would like I can get a answer to your question if you don't feel comfortable with going to a store if you'd like. Just pm me!
