New some advice asap!! - Page 2

I think it is likely to do with the PSU or some shorting. Some thoughts:-

1) Make sure you have a little speaker plugged into your motherboard. This will give the beep code which is helpful to narrow down the cause

2) Inspect the Power button of the case to make sure it is not defective (to cause shorting).

3) Take out all power connections and reconnect to make sure none are loose. Keyboard and mouse cables are to be detached and reconnected again.

4) Disconnect all non-essential USB devices/hubs

5) With the PC off, disconnect the PSU cable from the wall. Press and hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Reconnect the power cable. Now, try to bootup.

6) Take the motherboard out to make sure there is no electrical shorting underneath

If you can somehow get into BIOS:-
1) Turn all overclocking back to stock (CPU and GPU). This is the most basic step to diagnose a computer problem.

2) Disable automated system reboot in BIOS

3) Make sure the Init Display First in BIOS is set to 'PCIE x16'. And set Onboard VGA to 'Enable if No Ext PEG'

4) Motheroards can go into a BIOS post loop if a change in BIOS is somehow not registered correctly. In BIOS, choose 'Load Fail-Safe Defaults'. The system might have loaded 'Optimized Defaults' after clearing CMOS.

Also could be one of GB's infamous boot loops.
I think either resetting CMOS or unplugging and replugging the 24-pin does the trick most of the time.

I don't know much about the board but make sure you are clearing the bios with the pins and not the button (if it has 1). Sometimes the button to clear cmos doesn't clear like it is suppose to. HTH

Thread Starter
Tried it all couldn't get it to work, my 30 days was up with Newegg..

But the lady on the phone did an Advanced RMA exception and is sending me a new board via 2-Day UPS so looks like I won't be waiting too long!

Thanks for all the help guys, once I get my new mobo, +rep for all the help!
