3x 570 2.5GB would be a good choice.

you probably will need at least 3x580.....cuz i have my cpu@4.2ghz and 2x580SLI@ 900/2000 overclocking- 1920x1200 and UberSampling ON I get 50fps with UberSampling OFF i get 90fps

That's probably a case of VRAM limitation. Ubersampling renders the entire scene multiple times, so VRAM usage goes through the roof.

Ubersampling on Witcher 2 = hardest thing to run in the universe (using strictly the built-in game options anyway). It's also totally not worth the cost it would take in terms of hardware to be able to run it. Game looks awesome without it, and not much better with it.

W/O uber you could pull it off with something much more reasonable like a couple 560ti 2GB cards, or a couple 470/570's, or probably even a single 580.

CPU power is really important though in W2. You'll likely need to give your proc a good OC'ing to not drop down into the 30's occasionally.

I am getting 60-70 fps with ubersampling and all other settings maxed at 1920 x 1080. Without uber I get 100-150 fps.

I have two EVGA GTX 680 FTW with 4G vram each in SLI, i7 2600k @ 4.6 GHz, 8G ram @ 2133 Mhz, Maximus IV extreme Z MB.

I have only one GTX 680 and I5 2500k, do I need to overclock my cpu tu run ubersampling at better fps ?
Feels kind of silly that I have big case and H80 for my cpu and I never even oc'ed it since it runs every game flawlessly except tw2 with ubersampling.

Hi

The urber sampling requires a lot of vram, but the overclock of your processor would help with CPU bottlenecks. You also could overclock your system memory. My graphics cards both have 4G of ram.

Here is a quote from http://www.neoseeker.com/news/16447-the-witcher-2-readme-reveals-uber-sampling-mode-more-options/

"The whole scene is rendered multiple times to give best possible texture and object details and antialiasing (better than antialias and anisotropy even on highest settings)." 'The developer says this is intended only for those with both the best possible CPU and GPU available now (X4 980 / i7 980X and 6990 / 590).'

Hope this helps

This is not quite true.

I'm re-playing Witcher 2 with Ulbersampling enabled at 2560x1600. Video memory difference between Ulbersampling on and off is only around 300MB.
The highest VRAM usage I've seen is about 1.2~1.3 GB. This is at 2560x1600 with everything maxed out including Ulbersampling.

Okay i can tell you from real experience. I have this game and i built my system around maxing this game out!

I can tell you that even with my system i get some FPS dips in very demanding locations like the beginning with king foltest. and in some places later on in the game i get as low as 48fps. But thanks to my 3way SLI GTX680 classifieds overclocked i would say 80% of the time its constant 60+fps
