Ok, so what I did was I wanted a fresh start so I restored my pc to its factory settings and had been running vista.
My pc came with vista and a windows 7 updrade. I had not used the upgrade and figured it was about time I did.

Ideas?

Thanks!
In bold.
I didn't think it would make much of a difference but I thought it kind of strange that the DX version he is using is one that his card doesn't support.

How can you remove direct x 11 from the OS??

I am telling you... just because his computer had DX 11 doesn't mean he is using it..

My computer has DX 11 but I can still play games in DX 9 or 10...

We need someone who has experience with this problem... its not going to pop out at us based on info the OP gave us...

Guys it is normal for DirectX 11 to be installed on Windows 7. It will not use DX11 unless the game and card supports it. A DX9 game will still only use DX9 features.

It might be because he is using different drivers between Vista and 7. His card is an older Nvidia card. It is possible the later drivers give worse performance on his Nvidia 9100. The newer Nvidia drivers are more focused on improving performance and stability of GTX 400 and GTX 500 series.

If he could remember which driver version he used on Vista, perhaps he could get a similar driver version for 7 if possible.

Also, I do not know if he installed up-to-date motherboard drivers. That could possibly affect performance.

Seriously?

This whole situation is just silly.

Tell this guy to sign up for OCN, then he can ask us himself.
