Question - 800D with Triple Rad

Thread Starter
I wanted to get a general concenses on what I should do.

I have an 800 D with a triple rad cooling SB 2500K, can I...

1. Just use the 1 triple Rad for the SB and add 2 x 6970 blocks.
2 Run a 2nd loop for just the 6970's and buy a 2nd dual Rad for them.

So basically is 1 triple rad enough for both cards and the cpu? If not, can I get away with adding another double rad and use just 1 pump (655) or is there not enough pump for that (I have a 2nd 655 already).

Thanks.

Id stick with the single 360 rad. It will keep everythink looking clean and do a decent job at cooling. I use a 360 rad with push/pull cooling my x6 and 2 gtx480s. I have the fans on a controller to minimize noise when I want it. My processor doesn't go above 40c and gpus 36c and 41c respectively. However my rad is mounted externally which seems to help with cooling but doesn't look as clean. That's my opinion. Hope that helps!

You're going to be on the limit with a typical 320mm rad, but it really depends on the quality of the rad. 120mm per block is a baseline ratio...

One 360 rad like say the RX360 can cool two highend gpus and one cpu no problem with great temps.

Just get it go in push/pull. I have one RX360 on the top part mounted inside of my 800d with push/pull, so it does fit incase anyone wants to say it doesn't.

MrTOOSHORT, any chance of a picture? I've just bought an 800D and want to see the clearance between the bottom fan the the mobo.

As for the cooling, I've always found people tend to over spec really, I've managed to cool both an OC'd i7 860 and an overclocked and overvolted (substantially) GTX460 on just a 120mm and 140mm rad, with just a push configuration on the fans. So, a 360mm should be fine for what you want.

Here's a pic from a couple months ago.

I had to prove another user wrong after he said you couldn't put a push/pull set up on a RX360 inside a 800d.

Awesome! It's a bloody tight squeeze though! Is that just using the fan mountings that the case has as standard or have you put a fan grill on top to raise it up?

Just flush to the top using the screws that come with the rad.

Safe to say this Swiftech MCR320-QP Quiet isn't going to work?

Would it be better to go for a quad rad and mod the top of the 800D? (give myself more wiggle room) XSPC RX480 Extreme Performance Radiator?
