Will any of the sandy bridge xeons work on the Asus Gene-Z?
I think so, but usually xeons have special needs aside from regular mainstream processors. Your best bet is to call asus and ask them directly.
I pretty sure they will, but why would you want one?
They all have locked muti, so if you plan to OC there not that good of a idea.

actually they OC very well, and all processors that aren't amd black edition or the intel xtreme edition processors have locked multipliers

2500K & 2600K aren't xtreme edition processors & there unlocked.

Edit: BTW I was thinking about getting Xeon before getting the 2600K.
Read the reviews at Newegg & other online places. the SB Xeon's don't OC well there locked & cost more.

Have you been under a rock?

Would think so since same socket, 1366 worked fine.

Best BCLK I've see is 109Mhz so if you get the best or better 110MHZ BCLK your not going to get much of a OC with what ever the locked muti is.
Just trying to save you some heart break if your planing to OC.
