Well then.. wait it out champ! Heck, I'm sure you can find a used x6 someone's willing to let go of at a good price to hold you over. Or, you could always try to really push your current CPU.

I would say just w8 for Bulldozer. If you change the system, you will need a new OS, and reinstall apps. If you can just get a Bullldozer when it comes out, I don't see the point in buying a whole new platform.

I cant understand why they postpone all the time. My cpu is overclocked from 2.8 to 3.5 at stock voltage. Maybe it is the lack of L3. Crysis runs at 60 fps all the time (dont even go to 61 fps)maxed out with DX11 pack and High Res pack. At stock cpu bad company runs 35 fps. Must i wait for bulldozer or buy one that is out there. Which CPU will get the job done

Thanks
How are you hitting 60fps in Crysis 2? You have to not be running in DX11 or something. In terms of BC2 do as some have suggested and see if your GPU is being utilized close to 100%.

Hi
I dont know what you mean by how i run crysis 2 at 60 fps. Everything is maxed out and hovers at 60 with dx11 on and high res on. See that is what i dont understand, in crysis 2 it runs superfast (for this build) but in bc2 which are a smaller game compared to crysis 2 i am struggling to get up to 45 fps (The only way i can get bc2 upto around 60 is to overclock the gpu to 1ghz but then temps go to 95c un up). Also in metro 2033 i get 82 fps with high settings and af x16.

Also will a solid state improve gameplay like fps with games installed on the drive. (I am looking to buy a ocz agility 120gb). http://www.overclock.net/images/icons/icon2.gif

What resolution are you gaming at? 1280x1024? Do you have Dx11 Textures disabled through CCC? 82fps on metro 2033 with your setup is unreal. And if you get an SSD, in terms of gaming, only your game loading times will decrease.

I have attached pic where i play metro. you can see fps hover between 60 and 85.

i cant understand why metro and crysis runs awsome but bc2 struggle. As you can see i play games at 1920 x 1080 and in ccc everything is set to application settings.

Also motherboard makers state that their new pci express gen 3.0 which are twice as fast as gen 2 will improve gaming, but from what i know current high end gps dont even use the bandwidth of a 4x PCIe slot nevermind 8x or 16x. So maybe i am wrong. Will it improve gameplay

BC2 loves fast quad cores, not ones that are slow and lack L3 cache
