Any differences between a US iPhone 4 and a European iPhone 4?

My mother bought an unlocked iPhone 4 in Switzerland, didn't like it and gave it to me. I live in the US. Since it's a Swiss iPhone 4, it's GSM obviously. I've been meaning to get a smartphone, but are there any hardware differences between a European iPhone and a US iPhone? Specifically, I believe that the radio frequencies used by 3G in Europe are different from North America, so would that be a problem when using this iPhone on AT&T or T-Mobile? Anything else I should be concerned with, or is this basically just a matter of putting a SIM card in the phone and start using it?

You can use a GSM network SIM like AT&T or TMobile and it will work.

The iPhone 4 is a quad band phone so it should work in the US with no problems

I know that tongue.gif The question is whether there is an iPhone 4 manufactured for European bands and an iPhone 4 manufactured for US bands, or just an iPhone 4 that works everywhere seamlessly smile.gif

Exactly!

All high-end phones / smartphones (with probably no exception) are and have been tri / quad band for a few years now. People who buy these phones naturally expect for them to work when they go on a business trip or on vacation to another country / continent.

Here's the specs taken from the Wikipedia article:
Quote:
Connectivity

Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) (2.4 GHz only)
Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
GSM model: Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
(800 850 900 1800 1900 MHz)
Quad-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA
(800 850 900 1900 2100 MHz) (800 MHz not yet announced as supported by Apple)
CDMA model: Dual-band CDMA/EV-DO Rev. A (800 1900 MHz)

As you can see, it's both quad-band in GSM and in UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (3G/3.5G), so you can use it both in Europe and in the US.
