[MD] Deus EX: New Vision Released! - Page 4

From my experience the initial part of the game were you are on Liberty Island is slow and painful. You don't really know what's going on, you don't know what you're doing and it's very slow.

It must have taken me four attempts at starting Deus Ex, I kept starting the game and then just quitting after 15 minutes because it bored me. My decision to just power through it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

So if at first, you're sat there thinking this game is not for me, trust me just push through it because the game quickly picks up pace.

What was that noise? Oh, i dunno, but your face is getting shot off right now!!!!!!

I'm really close to completing HL2-Cinematic Mod so once I'm done with that this week, I'll be jammin DE. Can't wait!
Stealth in DE is more pronounced, simply because there's much more room for it than in MGS.
I never really found more ways into a building than one in MGS and multipath was very, very limited. You couldn't really evade the enemy only sneak by.

DE offers more possibilites, you can either sneak by the enemy unnoticed, or try to find a way other than the front door and evade the enemy completely. The choice how you deal with the missions/situations is completely up to you.

This is true, the game opens up rapidly after the first mission.
Much of the problems in the first mission is the game completely lacks any kind of HUD information where you should be going, most games have a huge waypoint or map that points where you need to go, Deus Ex doesn't.

And because Deus Ex has so many different ways to be played, people often found it difficult to determine whether or not they played the game as it should've been played.
Simply, put, Deus Ex doesn't hold hands.

It is by far and away the best game I have ever played. When released it was waaaay ahead of it's time, and even now the depth and imersion and intelligence behind it is astounding.

This is the perfect excuse for me to pick it up again. Must have played it about 10 times.

You need to play this before you play HR. HR should have an unlock feature that requires you to have completed Deus Ex.

Play it, you'll thank us.
This makes me think everyone is going to HATE the new one... Can it ever match up?

It's impossible to tell, back in the days DE was revolutionary simply because it was a new type of game, there was nothing like it.
Undoubtedly, this game won't give you the same feeling as when you started playing DE1 years ago.

But judging from the leaked Alpha Code, HR is far, far closer to the original formula than Invisible Wars was. I doubt most fans will hate part three as much as they did part two, which wasn't a bad game perse it just didn't really feel like Deus Ex.
At least I enjoyed it, and it definitely felt like Deus Ex.

Considering this is mostly a texture modification I doubt they'll provide a new executable for it, in that case it's safe to assume it's compatible.

I'll give it a shot with this installed....

In all honesty when I originally played this game (WAY back when) I just couldn't get into it. I found it boring and amazingly slow.

However I loved both games, regardless of what fans thought of the second game I still enjoyed it due to it being an extension of the original story line.

I absolutely love the politics behind the game and I hope the third game continues this trend and isn't dumbed down to suit the masses.
That's why I love the Assassin's Creed series. A lot of tying in of actual real-world events into the game itself.

Since I'm a big proponent of removing corporate personhood i loved it how, in one of the 'truth' sequences, they put a templar ring on Justice Roberts and directly referenced him striking down corporate political donation limits as basically handing over Govt control to Abstergo.

I know we're not allowed to discuss the "beta", but I will say you won't be disappointed.
