Only that SS eithet lies about the CPI or the IPS, because it's a MMO Mouse I would go for the later.

It doesn't matter tbh, because even 68 inches/sec is plenty for MMO games. Also real IPS with Avago sensors are much higher than those in specs, it might be the same here.

With PixArt it's more the other way around.

Blizzard just stated that WoW lost 300,000 subscribers last quarter. Looks like steelseries lost a lot of potential customers with this one. Bad timing

Gaudy wow logos aside, the mouse is probably comfy, and the extra buttons would probably help in a variety of games.

While I'm not likely to buy either of them, I'd probably buy this mouse over the SWTOR naga when the game hits shelves. I'll probably stick with my deathadder for that game, though.

On a side note: Am I the only one here who doesn't mind glossy sides? They look awful after being used a whole lot, but I (for some very strange unknown reason, no doubt) can grip glossy sides far better than any coating I've had on a mouse, my black edition DA included. Only the Valor and Spawn have had better side grips for me out of the mice I've used. I know I have to be in the minority, and I understand why as it contradicts logic, but I can't be the only one who feels like this.

I agree with you, glossy sides offer a lot of grip for me but the problem I have with it is that it attracts gunk from your hands like a magnet. I can use the Xai, G500, and other mice which have coatings for a week or so and they still look perfectly clean. Four hours of play on my glossy sided deathadder and it will develop a nasty coating of skin which needs to be cleaned off. This is with freshly washed hands too.

The full gloss white EC2 was very grippy and I loved it but I didn't own it long enough to see the mess it may or may not have been after using it for a while. In my experience rubber/rough plastic coatings still offer decent grip while staying clean.

Fair enough. For me the pros of the better grip outweigh the con of being dirty for the most part, but I have trouble with a lot of sides, such as the g400 which literally slips out of my hands if I don't grip it like I'm trying to crush it.

Definitely, the Cataclysm Steelseries mouse was EXTREMELY comfortable too. Too bad it's tacky aesthetics were bad enough to stop me from buying the mouse.

While flashing lights and LEDs arent preferrable, I can definitely live with it. However ****tily designed wow-themed mouses aren't my preference.

Also, the cataclysm mouse paint wears off after 6-8 months of gaming, unlike the faux-rust G5. It's terrible looking dude!
