Dry ice is so cheap... $15 for ~four hours of entertainment. Worth it to me
I still use my 24/7 system as my benching system. It would have been fine if I didn't kill my motherboard
Best way is to start cheap!
The only downside to the V2 is it's lack of mass. With copper being so expensive... you'll have to pay more for a pot with more mass. The SF3D pot is used by tons of the top guys. If you think you'll be in this for a while and have the budget, I'd go that way.

Nice thread bass. One thing i would put out there would be to start your first runs on a system that you dont need to run 24/7. Bass an myself for sure use our everyday rigs for Dry ice an LN2 use. I found out the hard way at the overclockers event in ST.Louis that your 24/7 rig is a bad one to start with. We killed my mobo. Ln2 an Dice is very fun to play with. So Good luck an have fun guys.

How good is the LN2-V2 actually? I've heard some bad things about the original version but I'm not quite sure if the V2 improved on the flaws of the original... Is the V2 heavy enough etc.?
I've been looking to order a pot from SF3D, but I'm not quite sure if it's worth the extra ~70€ I would have to pay over the koolance pot. I would like to buy a new one (don't really like buying stuff used) but I'm just not quite sure since I don't have any previous experience... Anyways thanks for the good read! |
