Best thermal paste under $10 - Page 4

Shin Etsu and Indigo and MX4 are all great TIM's, however those of you hating on AS5 have obviously never used it, or didn't use it correctly.

AS5 is STILL at the top of the market. Maybe 1-2 cel difference than the newest and best and most expensive

Arctic silver 5 costs more, is capacitive, has a 200 hour break in period, and performs worse. Why would you pay more for a tim that is lower performance. AS5 may have had a cult following, but it's just not top dog anymore.

Shin Etsu has a 4 hour curing time, performs 2 celsius better, and costs less.

AS5 has to be broken in by running your pc for a total of 200 hours before it works to it's fullest potential. It's not conductive, but it is capacitive, meaning it can cause some trouble if it bridges two electrical paths.
