I suggest more than a 5770, as stated before it would be better to get a 6950, most unlock to a 6970. I have a 5770 personally and it handles most of everything either maxed out or pretty high but the 1GB buffer is showing its age. Get something with a 2GB buffer.
8GB of ram usually isnt needed but I play games and make them large adress aware then install high res textures, single games would take up 3GB of ram. So just go with 8GB
So, in conclusion Go powerful single card, my suggestion is 6950 or 70. and I love 8B Kits.
