Sabertooth p67 freezing

Thread Starter
had this board for weeks and recently assembled all of my watercooling stuff onto it, I know, bad idea. Ive loaded the OS onto my SSDs and the system is freezing like crazy. Ive lowered ram speeds and raised the voltage for the cpu and it still freezes. Im not excited about buying another motherboard but is this really my only option or am i missing something? This is really ticking me off.

Is one of your sticks of memory faulty? I've had similar issues before when my RAM was faulty. It was interesting because multiple tests on the memory showed no errors, but taking out the defective sticks alleviated all issues.

Try taking out one stick at a time and testing your system for stability.

im gonna run memtest like i should but both sticks individually still give me issues, one moreso than the other
post #8 of 9

memtest passed both sticks at factory speeds with flying colors. NOW what.....does anyone think that a reinstall of the OS on my SSDs would possibly fix anything before I think about ordering a new board?

EDIT: downloaded OS onto non $240 solid state hard drives and the system works perfectly. Why are cheap mechanical hard drives so much more reliable than an overpriced ssd I may never come to find out.

I am having the same problem with my rig with same mobo and cpu, but I have a 1tb WD Black and the problem persists regardless of what I do. I seem to notice it less now since I am rarely on my pc for more than 2 hours at a time. Usually it freezes after 3-4 hours of use.
