make sure that in bios that none of the fan control options are enabled. I hooked my old h50 pump straight to the psu and used a adapter to tell me the speed.

does it sound like a cross between water moving/ticking sound? kinda hard to describe but i am also having some noise on the pump of my h100. under normal circumstances i wont be able to hear it but at night, it is very audible and irritating.
