Mine uses around 900MB with exe and plugin container with 30 tabs. With my new RAM, it doesnt really mean anything even if its 4GB haha.
Only the ones in the screen. Single window.

from what I noticed from tumblr, chrome takes a bit longer to load a ton of images compared to firefox. i still use chrome because it shows the follow button and on firefox it doesnt.

My experience with FireFox is that it consumes MASSIVE amounts of RAM in everyday use, which is rather annoying. I'm not talking 300MB mind you. More like 2.3GIGAbytes. Now with 8GB in the tank, it's not a problem. It just irks me to have a web browser use that much....
Do you browse with your 150 tabs open? Cause mines taking up barely anything.

I use to have no problems with Chome at all, now its crashes at startup even on a fresh install of Windows 7.

Tried the ninite installer and the main google one, no dice. Even tried Iron and Chromium and they give the same issue...

Ah, i do?

Lets see, 8 out of my 23 tabs are work related, and sites that i like to keep open for constant check up and updates on news. Then i have 5 forums that i am active on including this one, and i have facebook and a russian site vkontakte(its like facebook) to talk to my friends and family back in Russia. That's 8+5+2, hmm I'm already up to 15, what do you know. Now add to that 2 news sites that i like to read and keep up with what goes on in the world. 1 gaming news site. Youtube(never close it), a movie review site and some random sites i need for short term use. I am usually at well over 20 tabs. I do NOT like reopening sites like my news feeds, or youtube, or any sites that i visit a lot, if i can just have them running at all times. Why WOULD i? that's why tabs WERE created. Personal experience, i can not stand the way chrome handles tabs, not even a huge amount, but anything above 15, i cant read the names of the tabs nor even remember where half my stuff is. Also i always tend to get crashes if i have more then 15-20 tabs open on chrome. Firefox is more then enough speed for me, and combined that with all the addons that work 10 times better then on chrome..im not switching anytime soon.

I have 13-15 tabs up at once daily and I don't even use facebook or tumbler and all that.

Only thing that annoys me is when having like 17 tabs or so, firefox starts pushing tabs to the side unlike chrome that just shrinks each tab so you can see them all, but you might be able to change that with an option or add on and I just don't know about it.

@Subliminally Incorrect, I like the echo effect it makes, so it's justified.

There is an addon that makes your tabs shrink in FF. Also if you have more then 15 tabs open in Chrome, you wont be able to see the names of them. Which is why firefox did the scrolling thing. Personally i can't stand not knowing which tab is what. But for firefox there is an addon that lets you stack up to 50 tabs with their names still visible. Its perfect for my use.

I use more than 10 on a daily basis, note the triple non eyefinity monitor setup. I usually have a video playing on my 23" and 10 tabs on each separate 19".

I'm sort of curious on the hardware used for this test.

I wrote a quick program that opened 1 of those pages every .2 seconds (I didn't want to wait ) and didn't see any significant difference between responsiveness of the browsers, though chrome ate up a massive amount of memory while loading (system memory usage actually dropped a gig after it finished loading all the sites). And chrome was still using more even after it dropped all the excess.

I also had no problems running v8 while all the tabs were open on chrome (and got the same performance with 1 as I did with 150). I'm really confused by his results...
