hi im looking for the best mother board under 100$ canadian

From ether newegg/tigerdirect/ncix/amazon.

it as to be ether am3 or am3+, i will be using it for a phenom x3 720

I don't need the board to be a great overclocker just need some room tho

Try for a 990fx(am3+) just to be future proof, then in case you would later on want to buy a bulldozer CPU you know it would be compatible. MSI would be my best bet for the MOBO

Don't overclock (or something small) cause the VRMs are not cooled so they may blow up if you overclock too much.

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=62971&...SI%2FMicroStar

This one is good too and it appears to have a small heatsink over the VRMs which is always better.

You could save a couple of dollers price matching from bestdirect.ca or directcanada.ca.

GA-990XA-UD3
It's not actually under $100... it's exactly $100 after a rebate (which is 9 day return/no wait), but it is the absolute best bang for buck AM3+ mobo you can buy in Canada right now. Hurry while there are still 29 left. The special price is valid until they run out of stock at the special price.

Oh right, the rebate is now $10 and not $20. Ah well, enjoy the motherboard
I manage the GA-990XA-UD3 owners club, feel free to drop by if you have any questions or want to report your experience!

I'm leaving to pick up my own 990XA in a moment actually (got it at that price too)

If you want to eventually get to bulldozer or want room to upgrade then look into the 990's.
