Most games still only utilize 1 maybe 2 cores hopefully 4 next year.

a 200 dollar CPU on a new 150.00 board will OC nice and play games at max settings 1900x1200 res with a 6870 or better for at least 2 more years probably.

I would look for the most new features and get a solid state HD with a sweet sound system.

You could copy a new veteran gamers rig and you'll be fine"at least the parts will be compatible".lol

future proofing is a pipe dream at best..

Its beginning to get really annoying when every time i ask a question about whats the best I can get. More than one person has to chime in an tell me I don't "need" any of this. If I wanted to know what i could just "get by" with i would ask for that.

There is no best board. Everyone has their own preferences. I'm biased towards Asus and the P8P67 EVO caught my eye.

just a great board with similar features of more expensive boards for a cheaper price you will get 5ghz with this board if the cpu is capable
