What kind of Distilled?

Thread Starter
So I was wondering what kind of distilled water I should use. When I think of distilled water I think of like a gallon jug you can pick up at your local Wal-Mart. Is that stuff any good?

My sister is a nurse and she can bring home some sterile water. I don't know if that stuff is any good either.

Thanks.

Once you put it in your loop it wouldn't be sterile anymore. So as long as it is distilled then that's fine.

Ok I know you guys said wal mart distilled is fine and all but I just wanted to check this stuff out so I had my sister get me a bottle from the hospital, this is what it says:

For Irrigation Only
Prepared by distillation. No antimicrobial agent or other substance has been added. pH 5.5 (5.0 to 7.0). Osmolarity 0 m0smol/L. Sterile, nonpyrogenic. Pour Bottle. Warning: This solution is not isotonic and is hemolytic. Dosage and administration: As directed by a physician. Cautions: Warm only in a water bath or oven heated to not more than 66c. Do not use unless solution is clear and seal is intact. Discard unused portion. Rx only. Recommended storage: Room temperature (25c). Avoid excessive heat.

so is it usable? sounds like it is but idk the last sentence has me worried lol

Should be fine. Use a kill coil or other antimicrobial agent.
