OC to an Intel E6750 (2.66 MHz) on a p5K-e

Hi, there!

This is my 1st post here, and I'm already asking for help. I never OC'ed in my life and I don't know how to do it. Yet.

This is my pc:

NOX COOLBAY 25 BLACK
INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6750 (2.67GHZ) SKT 775
ASUS P5K-E WIFI
WESTERN DIGITAL 500GB SATA II 16MB
WESTERN DIGITAL 640GB SATA II 16MB
ASUS DVD+/-R 18X DRW-1814BLT PRETO RETAIL (SATA)
LC-POWER HYPERION V.2.2 700W (LC8700)
GSKILL KIT 2GB DDR2 800 HK
NOISEBLOCKER X2 80MM BLACKSILENT RETAIL (X2)
ZALMAN 9500 LED

My old 8800 GTS died few days ago and I bought a HD 6870. However, I was disappointed by the performance... of my cpu.
At F1 2010 benchmark, with all maxed out, the GPU was at a max 45 % activity... My CPU is bottlenecking it.
I'm even considering switch the HD 6870 back for a GTX 550 Ti plus money.
But to do so, I have to make a decision 'till next friday.

My question is:

Will I ever get the full potencial of 6870 with a resonable oc at cpu, or in my current system, will I have the same performance with a 550 Ti.

Does not de CUDA processors and Physx relife the cpu from some work, what would be rather beneficial for my pc?

Thanks in advance!

Ps:Sorry for my english, but it isn't my native language.

My question is - Does my system have a real possibility to totally explore the 6870??
