I'd like something... a little smaller than the NH-D14.

Hello everyone. I've decided to get rid of my 4GB dual channel memory kit on my X58 motherboard and get new memory - the Corsair Dominators! Obviously, they won't fit under the massive cooler that is known as the Noctua NH-D14, especially since I want to get the Corsair memory fan thingy to go with it. Now what I need is a new cooler that won't stick out anywhere near the memory slots on the EVGA X58 SLI LE. If you're wondering, the Noctua currently passes over the first two slots - luckily the memory I have now is small and fits.

What I've been thinking is to get one of Corsair's watercooling kits, the Corsair H60 to be exact, since it's low-profile. Now, I've dealt with kits such as these like the H50 in the past, along with the CoolIT Vantage (won in a contest). Both gave me... decent temps when overclocked to 4Ghz, but went over 90C while running Prime95. I'm wondering if any of Corsair's kits would be worth it to buy now (I'd like to get Corsair because I love their products and want my parts to match my Corsair case). Thanks a bunch, guys!

I use a H50, and with my 2500k clocked at 4.5Ghz with 1.28-1.3 Vcore my temps are..

Idel - 34-37*
P95 - 58-67* (Varying on time and if I'm running anything else with it.) Never hits 70*+ though.

@Dustin
Yeah, but the Sandybridge CPU's can get to 5GHz on air cooling alone

@kieran13
My thoughts at first, but I'm hoping not to pay too much for a new cooler. I figure I can get at least $50 from my Noctua.

@tx-hose
I would most likely be doing that if I wasn't getting this: http://www.dvhardware.net/news/corsa...low_triple.jpg

True, it's amazing, the best heatsink you can buy on the market. BUT, as he said, it's HUUUGE. It's extremely hard to install/unmount and it barely fit in my CoolerMaster 690 II Adv. I just recently upgraded to the Corsair 600t (free for my birthday!) and I can't use the top 200mm fan, I had to remove it to make room (sadly it doesn't go on the other side, had to resort to one 120mm fan).

Agreed it is huge. But anyone that is in the market for one has the duty to research its size to see if it is right for them or not, before they buy it they should know it is HUGE. Before I bought mine I made extra sure it would fit in my case (CM690, barely fits also) and my ram. It is the best air heatsink on the market for a reason and it kinda irritates me seeing someone parade around saying it's a piece of crap because they don't like the size.

Also I disagree on the mounting and remounting. I had to reapply my thermal grease last week and the whole process took me 10 mins. The only thing I had to take out was the middle fan to access the screws. Nothing came out of my case besides the HS and middle fan.

Go with the H60, it's a great little cooler and even better with aftermarket fans for p/p. Keeps my 2600k at 4.6 - 1.3v under 56c while gaming, and under 65c with Prime.

Sounds like a deal. Anyone else have other thoughts?

Oh yeah, what kind of fans should I get? Not really sure what to look for when it comes to Radiators. Nothing too expensive, I hope.
