Only reason I bought it honestly was the 71$ shipped price tag, noctua was 89.99 before shipping up in Canada eh, but I am very happy with it, the fans that came with it are almost as quiet as my GT AP-15's which I have to be within a foot's distance to hear.

The difference from my VX to the Noctua is negligible but the space I gain for my Trident Rams in my second rig is not .

^ Very valid point here, my "north bridge" (chipset) on everest was at 52C idling with the h-50, and mobo temps were 36C, with the arrow chipset is 40C, and mobo is 31C.

Off-topic here maybe and don't want to hijack the thread but I have to ask. I brought it up in the official GT thread but nobody gave me a response I was looking for.

Where the hell can you buy the GT's? I have looked everywhere online and everyone is out of stock? Where is a good/reliable place to buy them at a reasonable price? Also how quiet are the 3000-4000rpm models? Is it worth the upgrade?

The manufacturing company is located in Japan, right around where the Tsunami hit. Stock went down and it's usually low anyway because they can't keep them on the shelves!

Hold on a minute here. If I get the H60, the fans/radiator will be mounted on the back 120mm spot. You guys are telling me if I move from a heatsink and fans in the middle of my motherboard to the back, less than 5 inches, the temps are going to go off the charts for my motherboard? Doesn't make much sense to me.

Ahh, so that's why they are so hard to find.

too big? what do you expect? Large area surface is needed in order for an air cooler to perform well. FYI the d14 is the best performing all in one cooler. Only thing that comes close is the silver arrow (which some would argue is better).

Its called directed air flow.

also the d14 middle fan stoops down real low and move air past most of the pcb which effectively cools other components.

I also find it funny that people are switching from d14's to a h100. I know they cool better out of the box, but the h100 comes with 2500rpm fans while the d14 comes with 1300 rpm fans.

In effect, you could save yourself a ton of money by just buying some higher powered fans for the d14 and probably get about the same cooling effect as the h100 if not better.

Ah, that makes sense.

As for the last paragraph, I don't care a whole too lot about getting the best cooling performance. I just want something smaller and more compact so I can actually see through the 600t's window, along with it being quiet without being super expensive. A H60 is $70 and fans are $15 at the most I'll spend. Plus I'll sell my D14 for at least $60 with all the original packaging and accessories (and extra clips to mount a 3rd fan). All in all, it's $40 at most out of my pocket for something small, performs well, is quiet and gives me the uniform, clean Corsair look that really appeals to me.
