Thread Starter
i recently overclocked my radeon hd 6870 using amd vision engine control center.

gpu was set to 900mhz and clocked it to 980mhz 775mhz-------------1000mhz

memory was set to 1050 clocked it to 1230mhz 1050mhz------------1250mhz

set fan speed to 35%

the screen usually locks up when im gaming. any ideas on why this is happening?

It could be a bad GPU driver or a unstable overclock. You also might be overheating your GPU. Have you checked your temps while gaming?

Does it game ok at stock speeds?

Just sounds like it's not stable at those speeds.

I don't think it's an unstable overclock, but it sounds like you're overheating. Kick that fan up to at least 50% while gaming. (70% preferable)
