CPU Removal

Thread Starter
Lol, I hate to "Double-Thread" but, I have a big problem. My dad removed a processor, and he couldn't unlatch the processor lever. So He pulled it out, and it was broke. :/
Some of the pins were bent.

Any ways to take out a processor without damaging it?

Thanks ,xD

Twist the heatsink to break the seal with the thermal paste then lift it off. Unlatch cpu and take out.

I agree with above ^^ and make sure to carefully bend the pins back into place before trying to put it back.

^ That.

Also I would imagine it would be easier after the processor has been running for a few minutes as warm TIM wouldn't be as hard and baked-in.

Good luck!
