I hear that one has insane amounts of input lag. (ACD30)

And yes, they are expensive as mbudden said because of the IPS panel. The monitors he's referring to are the U2711 and the U2410 (and also the slightly worse U2412m that has just released).

Source?

I had heard it was newly released, but no word on reviews yet.

De zant the U3011 have a very very very bad ag coating, if any other monitor have not this problem, it's automatically better whit highter or not input lag. wink.gif

I don't really see why it's such a problem, the AG.

And yes, I have seen what it looks like. I've used the monitor myself, despite not owning one myself.

E- At others, the U2412m lacks the wide gamut of the U2412m, which makes it technically worse if you need that, and IIRC it has dithering, aside from that no real huge differences. Small input lag and ghosting difference.

Just recently bought three Dell u2410's and could not be happier the quality is amazing! The ag coating actually did take a little while to get used to but it wasn't a huge issue, and I'm a pretty active gamer and input lag or ghosting haven't bothered me whatsoever I don't notice any difference. I know your considering the 30 in but I just wanted to jump in the thread to definitely suggest any of the ips panels Dell has they are great!

Thread Starter
thanks guys.. Am leaning more towards the Dell u3011 as of now. I will be buying whatever monitor i choose next week & will post pics of it right here on this thread. I will also be running some benchmarks with this monitor on my gtx 590 once i order that next week as well. Gonna be running games like Crysis 2,Black ops,Deadspace 2 & other games in 2560x1600.

Wanna see what type of frames am gonna be looking at running at those high res.

Whats the input lag like then, if it competes with the U2311H, or surpasses it, then it will be the choice of 16:10 gamers...

I had the U3011, U2711 and U2410. In the same order the U3011 was the best.
I went back down to the U2410 because I got tired of buying expensive video cards to drive a 30".
