Anyways, my vote is for the Xbox 360. Idk why, I just like it better than the PS3

Actually the xbox 360 has better picture quality. There isn't to much of a difference between xbox 360 picture quality and PS3, but the xbox 360's is just a tad better.

But everything else is pretty correct. Except that "looking better" Is an opinion. The reason you pay for xbox 360's online service is because its better. Not a whole lot, but better. Just my 2 cents.

Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are fairly similar when it comes to the kind of experience you'll get, so I'd just go with whichever system has most of your friends and the greatest number of games that interest you.

At the end of the day, games are there to relax and have fun. Ignore all of the bickering that goes on here about which platform is superior and just go with what sounds good to you. There are lists of games and features out there for each system, plenty of gameplay videos and reviews to get an idea of what you'd like.

wow............... I had been a PC guy for about 5 years now. I recently switch to the xbox 360 because my friend got one for free from buying a laptop off amazon.

I paid him only $100 for a black xbox 360 slim edition. I turn it on and played it for 2-3 hours after that... I turn on my PC and never look back.

My personality is very completive, so playing halo online and trying to go pro was just awful with a keyboard and mouse. Oh and I thought xbox 360 would have nice graphics on my LCD HD monitor, man still it look like crap, even though my friends think it looks amazing on my screen.

PC gamer for life, wish I never paid that $100 bucks..

why not own all?

i own pc/360/ps3

i grew up a console gamer, then pc, but i realized theres just slight differences involved with console gaming where'd you want a console too.

same thing with pc, so i stuck with both, although im getting slightly tired of all gaming.

but my vote, for not spending too much cash, and the more social one is, the 360, i love my ps3, and it would get my vote, but, for what you're looking for the 360 would fit it better, its easier to find people who play the 360 on a consistant basis then a ps3, but i find the ps3 to be more laid back in the gamers on it, like me.

but the 360 makes it where its more oh, link your fb account to this, find freinds and add them autiomatically from it, gamertag, profiles, etc. just find the golf subscription on sale.

You dont pick consoles based on the consoles

you pick them based on the games that are exclusive. check the lists / read recommendations. then make a pick of what suits you the most. the xbox360 clearly has the most games out on the market.. but ofc. the ps3 has alot of good exclusives too

PERSONALLY... I'm a pc gamer, but i do have a ps3 as well for those special games that just doesnt exist on the pc (like ninja gaiden and gran turismo 5.. and of course tekken)

My pc is just SO MUCH more awesome than a console and i'd never ever trade "down" to a console only. I had that when i was younger and too poor to have a pc. now... i never regretted spending a fortune on this pc.

Of course. a console is awesome if you play 3-5 hours straight.
I only play ½-2 hours then i take a break for 30 minutes and browse the web or chat with friends etc. Then i got back to gaming or watch a movie on youtube etc.

On a console, you either play, or its turned off. Simple as that. (YEs i can browse the web and use a horrible chat system to talk to my friends (none of which actually use their ps3s ) but its just so much better on a pc.

on top of that i seem to hear a lot of people having problems with the consoles these days..

Theres another option..

its called "onlive" they got this tiny console for tv's (dont know if its on the market yet) but the pc software works decently imo. You can check that out.

Still i wouldnt recommend you going away from pc gaming..
most pc gamers got a console... most prefer the pc

edit:

also.. who doesnt love a keyboard + mouse compared to a joypad ?
