Thread Starter
hi guys..

i'm just wondering is there any possible mean i can get awesome music/movies/games sound experience on mitx build *no pcie soundcard*..

i'm not really that audiophile kind of person, i don't even know what spec to compare between two speakers,or any other sound system parts.

if there is any possibilities please list the part required..
thanks in advance ...

Sure it's fine - just send digital out via onboard HDMI/SPDIF/Optical to a receiver and it's all good Another option if you are not looking for big time surround (just 2.0/2.1) is a USB DAC

I was going to suggest the USB.

Well if you just want good 2.0/2.1 you won't need a receiver and that shaves off lots of $$ and one could go with either amplifier + bookshelf speakers or active studio monitors so best to at least have a rough idea before splashing the cash me thinks

on a second thought actually i really want a best sound quality for headphones only, because i don't want to annoy my neighbours.

the set up is like this.

i got one mitx htpc+gaming pc connected to 1 monitor and 1 HDTV.
might want to connect to two headphones.

-casual internet browsing might only need 1 headphones or speakers at reasonable volume.

-gaming only need 1 headphones, this where i want the most sound quality.

-movies on HDTV might need 2 headphones [+wife],also want the best sound quality i can get.

-music = 1 headphone= want best also.

PS-and i'm start reading too...
