I just use ATIMAN unistaller to remove all ATI drivers from the OS with an admin account enabled.

ATI drivers and double check the connections from the PSU to the card and re-seat the card.

I played some Bad Company 2 last night and the FPS is much better..70-100's around that.

How is my 3dmark11 score in the link I gave stack up for my sig rig?

It's on the low side for a 580, but with an AMD CPU that's about all you're going to get.

Sounds like all is working correctly now. If you still experience low dips, its your CPU holding you back at that point, in CPU intensive games.

3dMark11 suite includes two tests that involve teh CPU strength by design (physics and combined tests) and these 'count' towards your score overall. So yeah, your overall is not as high as it would be w/like a SB.

Your cpu should not be affecting your GPU score though. And despite the ORB trying to tell you your score is on the 'low side', the reality is you're right in the thick of the range for normal scores, so I wouldn't worry about it at all. Gaming-wise the impact of your CPU vs a faster intel chip will be MUCH less than the impact in 3dMark11
