Yeah I really like the story too and the historical backdrop and cities. If there is one game that should be considered a work of art its assassins creed.

So there are issues when you try to launch a game in the middle of an update - big surprise. I've never had an issue with offline mode, and I bet pretty much everyone else would vouch the same way. At least we can play our games offline and where we want to.
Notice his location: France

Ubisoft is a French company

Only harm done is to the PC industry as a whole, sure no one goes starving; but when publishers see that a platform brings in peanuts compared to others they are simply not going to focus on it and then people cry consolization. I think the only reason DICE is making BF3 around PC is because BC2 pulled in extremely good PC sales despite being somewhat of a console port, however I think consoles will outsell PC by a huge margin with BF3 and EA might go back to their old ways of consoles first.

someone please clue me in... what is the point of having a computer without the internet? i mean my phone has the internet on it 24/7 so how could a pc not...

for those of you who just don't have the internet... obviously not any of you since we are here... but just for the sake of argument it is completely legal to get a crack for a game you legally purchased... regardless of eula and ****... there was a precedent set way back so just ask someone with the internet to get the crack for u and uhh put it on a flash drive/cd/floppy disk or whatever ppl without the internet use

here ya go for those who dont believe me

§ 117. Limitations on exclusive rights: Computer programs (a) Making of Additional Copy or Adaptation by Owner of Copy. — Notwithstanding the provisions of section 106, it is not an infringement for the owner of a copy of a computer program to make or authorize the making of another copy or adaptation of that computer program provided: (1) that such a new copy or adaptation is created as an essential step in the utilization of the computer program in conjunction with a machine and that it is used in no other manner, or (2) that such new copy or adaptation is for archival purposes only and that all archival copies are destroyed in the event that continued possession of the computer program should cease to be rightful.

u guys are pc gamers, you can mod the **** out of your games to make them do whatever you want.. so do it. if you are too scared to mess with your game get a console and save some $$$

Laptop gamers.

The need to for internet to play an offline game is counter-intuitive. That is like trying to open up Microsoft Word or Notepad to type a report or code, but it does not open because it requires online authentication.

Annoying.

Cloud should be value added feature not a requirement, especially for an offline game.

I'm an 18 year old high school graduate. I think I know I more about selling then these "businesses".
