Looking into these...

Hey guys, I'm looking into purchasing This Headset as well as the Zalman Mic Clip.

Now the reviews seem solid, however i wanted to get some feedback from this community. Any experience with them? Or maybe someone could recommend something better. Thanks

i haven't had this exact model but i have had quite a few JVC headsets. They are very good quality products. The noise filtering is extremely good. Downside to this is that if you have your sound playing from your PC speakers and something like ventrillo from your headset, you can hardly hear the speakers. (i usually just turn mine wayyy up though)

Well as far as the budget is concerned I'd say at max, $80.

I'm going to be using them primarily for gaming, but I do like hearing my tunes every now and then.

Edit - Well that sounds great! And haha I don't plan on having it set up like that. Atleast not anytime soon.

Listening to them right now, they're pretty nice.
There's definitely nicer out there but for their price-range they seem very good.
I've had mine about a week and about the most useful help I can give is to say I think the felt-mod and burning them in helped, I think they sound nicer now than they did day one.
I'm much less qualified than the other people reviewing them online but I'd say they're well worth what they cost.

Don't expect them to be as good as much more expensive earphones though, my friend's HD595s are definitely better. They cost a lot more though and I could recable the RX700s to improve quality again so I can't comment until I've done that.

Edit: For gaming they're nice, most people will recommend AD700s for gaming but if you've looked up reviews the bass on the ad700s is supposedly extremely lacking. They're meant to have a crazy good soundstage though.

I'd go the Samson SR850. Buy.com has them for $50 shipped but I can't link it as I can't reach the page for some reason (DNS resolving issue I'm guessing).

If they're as good as this guy says I kind of feel bad for buying RX700s a week ago.

There's this thread as well, I'll seriously consider selling one of my 470s (bought for folding, stopped due to power costs) to buy a pair of those. I'm not particularly unhappy with the RX700s but I'd be curious to listen to the SR850s after reading about them.

Superlux HD668B's are basically the same thing (Superlux is an OEM for Samson, I believe).
