Welcome to OCN, btw, glad you got it sorted.
3.4GHz on a Sandy chip is plenty of juice for gaming, esp. with a single-card setup. There's some tests (benches/games) where you would get a few more FPS if you OC'd more (esp. old stuff like 3dMark06), but it's not like it'd make a difference you'd ever feel/notice while gaming.
