Still not stable - Page 4

offset with no power savings doesnt play nice and needs -0.020 to even boot into windows,

this is making my head hurt, if i made a spreadsheet of results it completely wouldn't make sense

yet ultra high LLC is putting load vcore above idle vcore now... WHAT?

The power saving features actually help stabilize your system. People that disable them forget that SB changed things. Granted, there are a few cases in which disabling them may help but not many. The chaotic randomness of overclocking is half the fun

it's not half the fun when you've spent almost 3 weeks trying to make it stable at 4.5ghz, this is wrong!

power savings actually make the load vcore fluctuate like mad for me, and the gap between max and min vcore becomes greater,

with manual voltage im seeing a 0.016 fluctation, yet with powersavings (and the same settings), it's about 0.03

i think im gonna get it stable on offset "manual" first before i put the power savings back on

something else must be wrong, it can't need 0.06 volts to go from ibt stable to specifically 1344 FTT stable?
If primes error you might be able to stable it with raising vccio or ram volts by .05. When prime bsod most of the time it needs vcore but if it error that might be ram or vccio/vtt.

what the 1344 and 1792 do is stress it a little more than any other's, what your doing is kinda 'making' it bsod, stability testing is about trying to get it stable, sometimes people lose track of that and concentrate on getting it to bsod and eventually it does.

What i recommend doing is firstly try passing the 1344 and 1792 for like ten mins or so on each of those ffts and then run a standard or custom blend with most of your RAM.

What you could try doing is changing the 1T to 2T and also see if that makes a difference.

i've tried that, did nothing

the thing is, if my pc bsod's in any situation, it's not stable, and i can't live with that, it's like some kind of OCD, i NEED to know my vcore is at absolute minimum but i NEED to know it's completely stable, i'd call it the overclocker bug

what if a game some day comes along that needs to compute wholely 1344 FFT's without fail? (ie. prime 95) i can't live with an unstable overclock

there's also the fact i cant enter the stable club because it wont pass 12hours without luck

If you just need the vcore, just give it the vcore. 1.34v isn't going to hurt anything.
