What's the big deal with Final Fantasy??? - Page 3

VIII is my personal favorite, followed closely by VI and XII. VII is really good as well and I am about to finish IX which I think is really fantastic as well. Lol obviously I really like FF series. XIII is still hard for me to get into (stuck at 6 hours, just get bored).

ff7 was truly one of the best yet ff10 had the best story line (haven't beaten it yet because i forgot to go and get all the Aeon's ultimate attacks)

FF1 is what got me into it and i still remember playing it on NES and would get so excited after getting into the second land and then you would get to the ship and your like oh ya i'm kickin butt lol.

The main reason that the Final Fantasy games are so breathtaking. I have a lot of his Final Fantasy OSTs on my computer and listen to them all the time.

I completely agree, but like I said in my previous post, my gaming preferences have changed over the years, I can't really enjoy any RPG's anymore. I think grinding in wow ruined me sad-smiley-002.gif.

Final Fantasy 7 was a masterpiece. One of the first games with 3d models and quality cg. The music and story brought you into the game back then. Lifestyles have changed since then and everyone tries to pack a lot into a game because action is demanded so much due to our busy schedules. Back in the day grinding was gameplay. FF7 also had a lot of side quests most people never even found. The story is also a part of how I was raised, that may be why I am so attached. I didn't socialize much back then so it kind of helped me learn about interactions with others and such.

FFX was the only other one I enjoyed as much, although they all have very good stories and gameplay (although very much the same) it introduced the sphere grid and some complex characters that I was able to relate to. Graphics helped induce this. The story was beautiful, and well thought out.

TL;DR The Final Fantasy games play like books, not movies. If your an avid fantasy reader you will enjoy them. If you would rather watch Fast 5 and the Transformers movies they probably aren't for you.

I have no time for grinding. Now that I am an adult who has bills to pay, work to get done etc. I have absolutely no time to waste doing repetitive tasks just to get some stupid XP meter to rise. I absolutely hate grinding and any game that has any sort of grinding element will force me to simply stop playing.

I play video games to sit down and have some fun, not get all OCD over my XP bar...

Go play Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX (twice), and Final Fantasy X, and get back to me when you do. Then, go play the rest.
