Stop playing games for a while. Weeks, months, maybe a year. You'll be back later.

I am the same way! I lose interest in games then have a spurt and usually end up playing a game all the way through. How old are you? I noticed as I'm getting older my hardcore gaming interests are starting to fade. I just end up cherry picking the good titles and leave all the B games alone.

What do you do when you get stuck in of your favorite games and cannot progress?

Im in HELL in Diablo 2 (single player), can't get past the 3 ancients at arreat summit w/ my level 80? zealadin... want to close that chapter in my life so bad, lol. 100 hrs spent..

Do you guys typically play more single player when you only have a few hours, vs trying to play multilayer and spending most of the time getting back your "skills", meanwhile getting your ass kicked?

++ for recommendation of SC2 and GTA: San Andreas (ps2) Very good longevity for the dollar.

Ive been playing video games since 1979. and the part that keeps me coming back to pc games is the adult interaction with friends online. If a game dont have multiplayer i dont even think about it. I havent completed the campaign on a game in 15 years. I have come to accept that A.I. in games is stupid and there is no way to fix it. Best advice i can give you is get on a voip program and B.S. with you friends. I rent my own voip server and have online friends from 10 years ago i talk to several times a week. Its almost like going to the bar for me.

Happens to the best of us m8.

I have weeks/months where i oddly just suddenly loose all interest, while others it's all i want to do when home.

Do something else. While everyone says go out, or joing a club, if you don't want to, find a TV series to settle into for a bit.

24, is the best starting point . The Wire, Family Guy. Just find something you enjoy and do it untill the passion comes back.

It's insane to force it.
More expensive option, build a new PC . Great way to pass the time.

I have this happen where there's no decent good games out, which is happening all too often these days.

The second a good immersive game comes along, I'm hooked again.

If I get like this, I put more time into my other hobbies, I'll hit the beach and do some fishing, or try scavenge a place on a friends boat and go deep sea, just depends. I find that after a few weeks doing something else, I get a huge urge to dust the gaming stuff off, lol!

i stopped playing mmorpgs/multiplayer games because of lack of time so i spend my few gaming hours on sc2, doing either computer ai or ladder. it's nice because you still get a good sense of competition and you can play at your own pace. other than that, my own gaming life is almost dead. i find it kinda hard to get back to it since most of my gamer friends got married early and is now slaving away working

Really? I couldn't even make it through a few hours of it. Too difficult.

As for OP, I'm in the same situation. I don't want to play anything, but I'm so glued to making the perfect set of characters for ME3 that I can't stop. It's painful sometimes.
