[GS] M-Disc Can Survive Boiling Water and Liquid Nitrogen. (VIDEO) - Page 5

The video that introduces the technology is one of those videos that people will look at after many years and laugh politely because of how far ahead they will be from now. The bad acting for the cameras, the silly music and the obnoxious announcer.

On topic, I actually had no idea CD's left untouched get damaged by themselves, I thought they would last forever. So this is a great breakthrough, if it delivers what it promises.

I don't really believe disc technology should die, there are certain uses which are not that practical with other media.

Who's gonna wanna reach in there to get it?

Kick the container over and grab it with something or pick the whole thing up and dump it over the owner.

Why use discs? Flash drives go through the wash, get run over by cars, are smaller, faster, easier, and soon to be cheaper.

Soon you will be able to buy a 10 pack of 4Gb flash drives for $20

Last time I had a flash drive go through the wash all the data was erased...
