Two of those. $300 after rebate. Lifetime warranty. You can't beat that. They'll run just about any game on the highest settings at 1920x1080. The only game they'll probably struggle with at max settings is Metro 2033.

Good choice! Never heard of that version of the HD6970, but I can assure you the HD6970 won't dissapoint you!

Plus you can always add a 2nd one if you feel like it once BF3 is out.

kcuestag, so you have 2 of them in xfire, have you tried just running one and see how it worked with a few games?

One should be plenty for BF3, although we still don't have official specs.

Totally jealous. Hope the card works out well for you. If it does, I might just buy it on TD and use the Newegg GC on something else.

Good choice. You seemed so determined to CF in the OP lol.

One 6970 is plenty for any game out there. No one can tell how it is going to handle BF3 but I am pretty confident that unless there it pulls a Crysis 2 tessellation stunt, you will be set for the game . (If not, CF is always an option )

I have a lightning and I couldn't be happier!

I have Metro 2033 Maxed out advanced Dof and all on my computer, and its perfectly playable, granted at a slightly lower res (1680x1050) but still.

To OP: One 6970 should be plenty for BF3 but if it isnt there is always the oportunity to get a second card. I think i am going to wait till the next generation of cards to come out before i get a second card or if the performance is good enough get a 7950 or something, lol idk
