Alright i'm building a new gaming rig for $1600. I have the case already. Here is want I am planing to buy. Anyone have suggestions for my build?

BTW I like AMD/Intel/ATI/Nvidia all the same so if you think I should go intel or Nvidia just post what you think.

I personally would go with maybe two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130651 or these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125351

I like Nvidia more because they offer solid performance, they are great for folding, and they have solid drivers. Thats just my opinion though. Good luck with your build!

And if I'm correct, the Nvidia 280 drivers that were just released support SLI for that chipset on that board!

I don't have any knowledge with Intel ASUS boards or Intel boards in general other than my really old Intel ASUS board with a P3. I'm purely AMD/Nvidia. haha I'm sure there are some descent ones though!

think this will cover everything, only threw in an agility 2 to save some cash, as for the d14 you can swap that out with a h100 or whatever really, just keep it into the same class of cooling.

This. Even the 1100t performs 10% less than the 2500k on average and the 2500k is only 10 bucks more.

If you are building a gaming rig I would go with a i5-2500k, that is your best cpu for gaming right now.

Or you could wait for Bulldozer chips to come out late september/october.

If it's urgent then you'd be better going 2500k on this one. And you could swap the cooler with a Venomous X-RT. It performs better if I am right. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...k=thermalright

I have a 970 and wish I bought a 2500k to the extent I might actually buy one, so much better for overclocking and even at same clocks kill AMD chips
