Remote desktop stops GPU from folding - Page 2

Should be aware that if your GPU starts a unit whilst you're TeamViewer-ing, it might only load the GPU to ~40%, because Windows can switch to a lower 'power' GPU mode.

Just a heads-up in case that happens. Just restart the client and close the TV with ninja-like speed, and it'll be grand

Never seen this issue with LogMeIn (but that is a little less convenient to use & you have to pay for the mobile version etc too).

You might be able to fix this problem with Afterburner (set the 2D clocks to match the 3D clocks) or use VLC to lock in 3D mode (pause a video onscreen and the GPU should stay at full clock). Or change the driver version.

Best thing about LogMeIn is that the free version works on Windows Server OSes though, unlike TeamViewer - which is great for me, as my folding rigs run Server 2003 and 2008...
