There is major keyboard lag while typing this message on my asus transformer it is getting really annoying anyone got a solution to this. I am using the stock browser on 3.2.
No, don't get me wrong--everything fits as normal in the display, it's just awkward holding it up with one hand--with being so tall, it's quite top-heavy. Having it shorter and fatter would alleviate that. Still, not a huge deal, but something noticeable between the TF and an ipad, for example.

And yeah, I always get lag when I type messages in OCN with my TF. I don't know why either--I thought it was the Asus keyboard with the predictive word function, so I switched to the regular android keyboard, but there's still lag. I wonder if it boils down to how OCN's text-entry is deployed (something I have no idea about). I experience the same sort of lag on my android phone as well when I'm using the browser.

I'm hoping OCN will deploy their android app (as opposed to having to buy tapatalk) soon!

In case you're forgetting, it's not meant for media consumption. You wont find apps that have ultra simple ui and deliver content like you want. It's also fat and ugly, doesn't have a touchpad and you can't fold it like a notebook.
The tab alone is 1.5lbs not including keyboard. I will grant you that a .7lb difference at this weight range a quite significant but well worth it in my book. And until you have tried it. Don't knock Win7 with touch. It actually works pretty well for most thing. A stylus does help with some of the smaller button and click box though. Basically, I found that I'm always limited to what I can do on a Tegra 2 Tab and have to look for workaround for a lot of the things I do on the W500.

Actually both unit are a bit too heavy for reading for any length of time if you are holding it with your hand. It's basically like holding a large hardback novel. I have a 7" Honeycomb 3.2 tab coming to me that I'll most likely use as my main book reader.

if you want an ebook reader get an ebook reader not a tablet. And you're defending acer like you own the company.

No, I just think all 10" Honeycomb tab is useless for me which includes Acer's A500 line. And that a Windows tab will kick all of them despite being a bit heavier and less battery life.

Fair enough--I think people don't quite appreciate that everyone has different expectations and requirements for devices. Some people only care about portable media, and others require a full-fledged windows experience. Both have their pros and cons, and one solution isn't good enough for all. Personally, if the W500 had equal battery life and similar weight/size as the Android tabs, I would have gotten the W500 in a heartbeat instead of my TF. It was actually a tough decision.

Not that I feel like I SHOULD support microsoft more than I do, but I actually hope to see more windows tablets. I also hope to see Android maturing faster than it already is.

Well, the current corp of Windows slates are pretty much a first attempt/stop gap type measure until Windows 8. When Win8 is ready, I think we'll see a flood of Windows slates from most of the major players, hopefully with more efficient CPUs and longer battery life.

Well, I just got a 7" tab running Honeycomb 3.2 and after a bit. it shows one of the Android weakness. It take a while for apps to catch up to the new version. Quite a few of the current apps (including kindle) crashes on 3.2. This shows that the SDK for Android still have problem that apps will need to be altered/updated for any major OS revision. Granted, there are some major changes in 3.2 but breaking older apps is definitely something that needs to be consider in any future SDK (ice cream).

LOL, what? What tablet is the "7inch tab running honeycomb 3.2" that you mention? I use Kindle for Android a lot along with other ebook / newspaper apps incl. asus my book, press reader etc. have never EVER experienced a single crash. And talking about crashes, I've never gotten a force close or crash in any app besides "heart beat reader" which was never designed to run above 2.1 so ???

I get force closes relatively frequently on my TF--even with the kindle app.

This one and it seems I'm not the only one seeing a bunch of force close.
